Escrow and Payment Protection Terms
How protected bookings, secure funding instructions, inspection periods, releases, and frozen transactions work.
Payment protection
SureWorkers provides payment protection for eligible bookings through approved escrow infrastructure. Users do not need to create a separate escrow-provider account unless SureWorkers clearly tells them otherwise.
Each protected booking is linked to a SureWorkers booking reference so customers and workers can track payment status in one place.
Funding and secured payment
A customer books a worker, SureWorkers creates the protected payment record, and the customer funds it through the official SureWorkers payment instructions shown for that booking.
A worker should not start a paid job until the booking shows that payment is secured. Screenshots or payment claims outside the official confirmation should not be treated as proof of secured payment.
Completion and inspection
When the job is completed, the customer gives a completion code. The worker enters the code, and the booking enters an inspection period.
If no valid dispute is opened during the inspection period, payment may auto-release according to the applicable booking rules.
Disputes and freezes
If a dispute is opened, SureWorkers may freeze the protected payment, notify the relevant operations or compliance reviewers, request evidence, and coordinate with the payment protection provider where needed.
Possible outcomes include release to worker, refund to customer, split settlement, cancellation, or further manual review.
Questions or complaints
If you need help understanding this policy or want to report a problem, contact SureWorkers support through the app or visit the complaints page. These policies work together with the booking, verification, payment, and payout screens shown to you.
